According to the press service of the territorial directorate of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya), the alert was received at the duty station of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). A demining team from the special detachment «Ratibor» promptly arrived at the scene.
Specialists from the engineering and technical unit who arrived at the scene cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough inspection. Experts identified the dangerous object as a 150-mm artillery shell. The munition showed signs of deep corrosion, making handling it particularly risky.
Explosive ordnance disposal technicians decided not to take risks and transported the shell to a special range. In compliance with all safety measures, the dangerous cargo was destroyed in the prescribed manner — by controlled detonation.
The Russian National Guard reminds residents of the region: upon discovering any objects resembling ammunition, it is strictly forbidden to touch them or attempt to move them. It is necessary to immediately report the find to emergency services by calling 102 or 112.
