Full video emerges showing minibus driver attacking child in Voronezh

Editorial staff at Voronezh1.ru obtained full video footage from the interior of bus No. 23, where, according to witnesses, the driver beat a boy about 13 years old for not paying the fare. A short clip, recorded on a mobile phone, was leaked online by one of the passengers the same day. It does not show the events themselves—only the voice of a female passenger trying to reason with the driver: «You could be jailed!» After the story spread online, checks were initiated by the prosecutor«s office, city hall, and the Investigative Committee.

We have access to edited documentary recordings and footage from the front of the bus, but we are publishing the «climactic» eight-minute video from the rear—it shows the full picture. Here, the minibus brakes at a stop (according to our information, it«s »Apteka« on Domostroiteley Street). Passengers board, one of them—a boy in a white jacket—makes his way straight to the back and sits in an empty seat. Judging by the front footage, he did not attempt to pay—neither with a card nor looking for cash. The driver calls out to him with the classic phrase »Pay your fare, where are you going!«—no response.

On the video from the rear, there is no sound (perhaps the camera doesn«t record it), but even without words, everything is clear overall. The driver did not move for about three minutes—waiting for the child to pay, testing passengers» patience. People started slowly exiting through the front door. But then the rear door opens… And in it appears, indeed, the driver. Further, watch and draw your own conclusions: active actions begin at approximately 2 minutes 27 seconds.

Route 23 is operated by LLC «PTP-4k». According to director Dmitry Krivushin, the driver has been working for them for a long time, with no complaints against him. But here, allegedly yes—he overdid it, because… the boy «started first»:

— As far as we know, the teenager refused to pay the fare in a rude, obscene manner! According to other passengers, he had tried to ride for free before, taking advantage of being a minor. We are also conducting our internal investigation. We have viewed all video recordings from the interior and sent them to the transport department.

According to the carrier«s version, allegedly the boy was the first to lunge at the driver-uncle with fists. And even added with a backpack. But based on the interior recording—it doesn»t add up. That«s one. Two—even if he were »first«—you can»t grab children by the chest and beat them. Especially other people«s. We cannot show the child»s face, but—when the driver dragged him out of the bus onto the street—he burst into tears. Like a child. And noticed? None of the male passengers stood up for him.

According to our information, the driver has already been summoned to the Investigative Committee. And he, they say, was planning to go to the police—to file a report that a schoolboy beat him.
