Festival 'Chelyabinsk Region – Big Family' in Miass

In Miass, on the square in front of the city district administration building, the family festival «Chelyabinsk Region – Big Family» took place. At the grand opening, participants and guests were welcomed by Acting Head of the District Sergey Prikolotin and Deputy Minister of Health of the Chelyabinsk Region Nelly Verzakova.

«I am glad to welcome everyone today. «Chelyabinsk Region – Big Family» is a wonderful festival that covers a large number of localities in our region. Today residents have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of numerous venues and, what is especially important, check their health right in the open air. Do not miss this chance and take care of yourselves,» Nelly Verzakova addressed the participants.

During the day, 23 ministries, departments, and organizations worked for residents. In consultation tents, Miass residents could get answers to pressing questions and assistance in solving everyday and social problems. Special attention was given to supporting participants of the special military operation and their families: in a dedicated area, representatives of the Unified Support and Rehabilitation Center and the Defenders of the Fatherland Fund provided consultations, helping to process documents and explaining support measures.

«The festival «Chelyabinsk Region – Big Family» became another step towards ensuring that help and support are available to every family. Today our social services, healthcare institutions, education, and public organizations work in a single link so that residents can get advice, guidance, and real help in one place. Such meetings make communication between residents and specialists more open, and life in the district more comfortable,» noted Sergey Prikolotin.

In the tent «Surrounding with Care and Attention,» Deputy Minister of Health Nelly Verzakova, Acting Head of the District Sergey Prikolotin, and Head of the Governor«s Public Reception Office in the Miass Urban District Pavel Loginov received citizens. During the day, 44 appeals were received — 27 written and 17 oral.

On the main stage, Miass residents contributing to the district«s development were honored. An important event was the presentation of first passports to young residents of Miass. Also, within the framework of the «Strong Family» project, three married couples were awarded the «Family Happiness» medals established by Governor Alexei Teksler.

The sports venue united those wishing to pass the standards of the «Ready for Labor and Defense» (GTO) complex. 121 district residents participated, of which 10 young athletes were awarded gold GTO badges. Participants showed agility, endurance, and good physical fitness.

For children and teenagers, master classes and interactive areas were organized. Young guests participated in creative activities, played, and discovered new things. The festive program was complemented by dance flash mobs and active games from animators. In the administration conference hall, family films were shown, where one could rest from the busy program.

The festival day ended with a concert by creative groups. Musical and dance performances gave residents and guests of Miass a good mood, becoming a worthy finale of a big family holiday.

Holding such events is symbolic in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by decree of President Vladimir Putin on 25 December 2025. Its goal is to strengthen national unity, peace, and harmony between representatives of different peoples, demonstrating that differences make Russia stronger, shaping its unique culture.
