Ex-road bully Novoselov takes up paddleboarding

Igor Novoselov has shown his followers how he spends his weekends. The hero of the Ural meme “Who are you honking at, uncle?” is mastering a new mode of transport — a paddleboard.
“I«m afloat,” the man says as he tries to handle the watercraft. He posted the story on his social media accounts.
We have been following Igor Novoselov«s exploits in our “Who are you honking at, uncle?” section. The famous phrase originated more than 10 years ago, when the audacious Yekaterinburg resident and his friends slashed the tires of someone else»s car on Sovetskaya Street, claiming the driver had cut them off. Since then, the road bully has regularly landed in prison and crime reports.
In 2019, he was released from a penal colony in Ivdel. He had been sent there for attacks on a taxi driver and activist Vladimir Rudyakov. Shortly after, he received a suspended sentence for death threats. In 2023, the road hooligan again faced criminal charges: he was placed on the federal wanted list for drunk driving and kidnapping teenagers, was detained, and later acquitted.
Igor has said he got married. In 2025, his family was expecting a new addition — a third daughter. He works in the funeral services business.
The last time Igor came to police attention was after he reported a man lying on the road in a pool of blood. The man had been hit by an unknown car, and Novoselov was the one who alerted emergency services.
