Eighth UAV Attack Alert This Month in Orenburg Region

The Orenburg region once again declared a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) attack alert. Governor Yevgeny Solntsev traditionally announced this at 06:13.

— Be vigilant! Follow further announcements from the regional government! — he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The alert lasted just over 3.5 hours: at 09:36, the same Yevgeny Solntsev announced the all-clear.
This is by no means the first time a UAV attack alert has been declared in 2026. The first such occurrence was literally when everyone was sitting at the holiday tables — at 01:20 on January 1 (and then again later that day), the second time was on January 2, the third on the 4th, the fourth on the 6th (on that day the «Carpet» plan was announced for the first time), the fifth on January 15 (again with «Carpet»), the sixth on January 17, the seventh yesterday, January 20, and now the eighth.
Who and how makes the decision to activate the alert system — in this article. What to do if you see a drone in the sky, read here. Filming them is prohibited — a decree has already been adopted and there are people who have «earned» administrative penalties because of this. The exact list of shelter addresses is a state secret: here — what was said about them in the mayor«s office and government. Mobile internet works poorly during such alerts — city residents complain that even websites from the »white list«. However, Yevgeny Solntsev on a direct line commented the disruptions — he asked Orenburg residents to »be patient«.
