Direct flights from Vladivostok International Airport to the Chinese resort city of Beidaihe have launched. Since July 20, they have been operated by Yakutia Airlines as part of a joint flight program with the tour operator CapitalTour, the airport press service reported.
Beidaihe is a city and a resort of the same name, considered the sea pearl of China. It is located in the Qinhuangdao prefecture on the coast of Bohai Bay of the Yellow Sea, about 280 kilometers east of Beijing.
The city is considered one of the largest resorts in China. It has a mild climate and many attractions: the «Dove»s Nest« natural park, a safari park in the forest, and »Dragon«s Head» — the spot where the Great Wall of China meets the sea.
The flights are operated on a Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft once a week, on Mondays. It departs at 13:10 Vladivostok time, and the route takes about 2.5 hours.
Flights to Qinhuangdao Airport, with a subsequent transfer to Beidaihe, will operate until the end of August. Whether they will be extended later is not specified.
Earlier we reported that residents of Primorye again had the opportunity to travel non-stop to one of the popular resort cities in China on the Yellow Sea coast. Direct charter flights to the city of Yantai from the capital of the Far East were resumed from June 27, the Vladivostok International Airport press service said.
