Keksik and Kabachok came to Samara from Chile. They are currently only 6 and 9 months old, still teenagers, but they already confidently hold the status of the most laid-back rodents on the planet. Adult capybaras, by the way, can grow up to 66 kilograms (about 146 pounds) and live up to 12 years.

The newcomers spent a couple of months adapting, and now you can peek into their house and get to know them personally. However, without sudden movements: capybaras are introverts. Calm, unhurried, and philosophical. The farm administrators joke that when they are alone, they might move a bit, but without dancing and without oranges on their heads — the internet slightly embellished reality.

Keksik and Kabachok are still shy about approaching people, so feeding and petting them is not allowed. Moreover, they haven«t quite gotten used to each other either — after all, a new country, new climate, and the first Samaran snow in their lives.

«They came from Chile, saw snow, and fell into depression,» laugh the farm employees.

In fact, there is no depression: they just need time to get used to the new conditions and the strange white cold substance outside the window.

The capybaras« diet also has character: they don»t eat white cabbage. Serve them celery, Chinese cabbage, iceberg lettuce, sweet potato, and other delicacies. Root vegetables are also not for them.

So if you urgently need anti-stress, a reason to smile, or simply a meeting with living memes, now you don«t need a flight to South America.

Keksik and Kabachok await guests at Uncle Vasya«s alpaca farm, on the grounds of TK Ambar.
