Burial Place of Sergei Sholokhov Named

Sergei Sholokhov, a Soviet and Russian journalist and TV presenter, will be buried at Smolenskoye Cemetery in St. Petersburg. The information was released on July 21 by his stepson Vsevolod Moskvin.

The farewell and burial will take place on July 26.

Sergei Sholokhov died on July 18 at the age of 67.

He was born and raised in Leningrad. He gained wide fame thanks to the publicistic program Fifth Wheel (Piatoye Koleso). Since 1991, he was the author and host of the program Quiet House (Tikhiy Dom), dedicated to cinema and culture.

Over the years, he worked as a visiting scholar at Harvard University, headed the production center Petersburg — Culture, and served as deputy chairman of the State TV and Radio Company Petersburg — Channel Five.
