Bureau 1440's Second Satellite Batch Reaches Orbit
Company Bureau 1440 reported successful orbit insertion of its second group of satellites. The spacecraft established contact with the Mission Control Center.

Aerospace company Bureau 1440 conducted its second batch launch of satellites and put them into orbit on Monday, 20 July. The company«s press service said, «The spacecraft separated from the launch vehicle and established communication with the Bureau 1440 Mission Control Center.»
After completing checks and commissioning subsystems, the satellites will begin transitioning to their target orbit to provide communication services.
The first 16 Russian broadband internet satellites were put into orbit in March. Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Sergei Boyarsky previously noted that this low-orbit satellite system would become an analogue of the American Starlink.
The creation of a Russian analogue of Starlink — the satellite internet service of Bureau 1440 — is estimated at approximately 445 billion rubles (2024 data; about 4.9 billion USD at current rates).
