Boxers from Tver and Cherepovets to fight in Nekrasov memorial tournament

The boxing tournament in memory of Cherepovets resident Yuri Nekrasov will take place on February 7 and 8 at the shopping center on Oktyabrsky, 25a. President of the Boxing Federation of the Vologda Region, Sergey Nazarov, said: «We will set up a ring on the first floor of the shopping center. 12 athletes from Tver will come to us. The fights will be held among juniors aged 17–18.» The opening is scheduled for February 7 at 16:00 with a parade and introduction of athletes. The bouts will start on February 8 at 13:00, admission for spectators is free.

Yuri Nekrasov was a Cherepovets entrepreneur who was involved in boxing. He participated in regional competitions and helped organize the tournament in memory of Academician Bardin.
