Crews of mobile fire groups of the volunteer detachment «BARS-Ryazan» are undergoing training at one of the training grounds of the Airborne Forces in Ryazan Oblast, TASS reports citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
Reservists are mastering skills necessary for protecting and defending regional enterprises. The training program includes classes in tactical, fire, and medical training, as well as engineering.
Particular attention is paid to the work of mobile fire groups. Servicemen train to use weapons mounted on UAZ Patriot pickups — turrets with twin PKT machine guns and AK-47 assault rifles.
The detachment consists of volunteers who signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry for service in the mobilization reserve. Their primary task is to participate in the defense of Ryazan Oblast from unmanned aerial vehicle attacks.
During the exercises, the fighters also practice using standard-issue weapons, providing first aid, evacuating simulated wounded, and operating in various tactical situations.
