Anna Ratnikova has become the chief physician of the L. G. Sokolov Northwestern District Scientific Clinical Center (SZNCC, formerly MSCH-122). She was introduced to the staff on July 21. She is no stranger to the medical facility: Ratnikova worked as a cardiologist in the emergency department, and the center«s official website lists her as a research fellow in the scientific department. Additionally, since 2021, she has held the post of chief physician at the Pervaya Liniya Health Care Resort.
Personnel reshuffles at two St. Petersburg medical centers under the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) began after Veronika Skvortsova moved from the position of Minister of Health to head the agency in 2020. At that time, managers who had reached the age limit were replaced by new people. Alexander Uskov was appointed director of the Children«s Scientific Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases (formerly the Research Institute of Children»s Infections), and Valery Kolabutin, former chairman of the Healthcare Committee, was appointed director of MSCH-122 (now SZNCC). Vyacheslav Ratnikov, previously deputy to the former director Yakov Nakatis, became his deputy and medical director.
In 2025, Vyacheslav Ratnikov moved to the position of CEO of the National Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases. At SZNCC, the position of medical director was abolished, leaving only the chief physician — a role that had been filled in recent years by Viktor Gorelov. Now the circle has closed: the former MSCH-122 has a new chief physician with a familiar surname — Anna Ratnikova.
