Alexander Shamsutdinov Receives Silver Medal for Tula Region Contribution

On January 20, a ceremonial awards ceremony for the winners of the regional «Sportsman of the Year — 2025» competition took place at the Tula Regional Youth Center. The event brought together leading athletes, coaches, and representatives of the region«s authorities and businesses. Alexander Shamsutdinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polyplast Group, was awarded the silver medal »For Special Contribution to the Development of the Tula Region«. The award was presented by the region»s governor, Dmitry Milyaev.
Shamsutdinov awards the prize to coach Valery Kobzarenko in the adaptive sports category.

«Russian President Vladimir Putin pays great attention to the development of physical culture and sports,» the governor noted. «This year, the commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the direction of »Physical Culture and Sports« will continue its work. A whole range of various issues will be considered. We expect that initiatives for sports development will come from our athletes and coaches, which we will be able to examine and work out in detail.»
The Russian sledge hockey champion team «AKM-Sledge» is recognized with an award.

Alexander Shamsutdinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polyplast Group, presented the award to the winner in the category «Overcoming — Best Coach-Teacher for Training Athletes with Physical Disabilities». This category traditionally recognizes the outstanding contribution of coaches to the development of adaptive sports in the region. The winner was Valery Kobzarenko, a coach-teacher for blind sports (cycling discipline).
«Presenting the award in this category is a great honor,» Alexander Shamsutdinov noted. «Coaches who work with special athletes are doing very important work. They help people believe in themselves and achieve success. Supporting adaptive sports is one of our main priorities, and we will continue to help by creating all the necessary conditions for it.»
In the category «Overcoming — Best Athlete with Physical Disabilities», the award was received by the team «AKM-Sledge», the current Russian champion in sledge hockey.
The development of youth and adaptive sports is a key direction of the social policy of the Polyplast Group. The company systematically invests in the construction and modernization of sports infrastructure, organizes competitions and mass events aimed at popularizing sports in the regions where the Polyplast Group operates.
