Alcohol sales will be banned in the Ryazan region this coming Sunday. This is linked to Russian Student«s Day, which is celebrated on January 25.
According to the law «On Certain Issues of Regulating Retail Sale of Alcoholic Products in the Territory of the Ryazan Region,» alcohol cannot be sold in stores in the region on January 25. However, retail sale of alcohol in food service establishments is not subject to the ban.
In addition, the sale of alcohol is prohibited in stores in the region on International Children«s Day (June 1), Youth Day (the last Saturday in June), Knowledge Day (September 1, and if September 1 falls on a weekend, then the first working day after September 1), and International Students» Day (November 17).
