In Perm, a gorgeous, well-groomed Maine Coon was abandoned in the entryway of a building on Krupskaya Street. The ginger giant sat on the stair landing all day. A concerned resident of the building put up notices and posted on social media, but the owner never responded. Within two days, the cat found a new home.

Perm resident Maria told 59.RU that on 25 September her son came back from school and noticed a huge ginger Maine Coon in their entryway.

«We thought the cat was someone’s lost pet and decided to wait for the owner to come for him, — noted Maria. — But time passed, and the cat kept sitting in the entryway. I decided to give him food, but he was spooked and didn’t touch the kibble».

The stressed cat sat in the stairwell and initially refused any food offered.

The Maine Coon sat in the entryway all day. Maria wrote posts on social networks about the cat and put up notices everywhere. After some time, a woman called Maria and said she had seen the cat being left there.

«She saw a man with a carrier arrive at our entrance on a bicycle. From inside, the cat was yowling at the top of his lungs, — Maria shared. — The woman began asking the man what was going on. He replied that acquaintances had given him this cat, but now they were not answering his calls. He didn’t need the cat, and he decided to leave it in the entryway».

Maria temporarily took the Maine Coon in. For two days, because of severe stress, the cat refused food. In addition, Maria’s cat reacted aggressively to the guest. After Maria’s posts on social networks, calls began from people wanting to take in the purebred stray, but Maria decided to give the fluffy castaway to her friend.

«The cat is already living with her. He gradually calmed down, uses the litter box, and eats normally. It’s clear he was a house cat», — noted Maria.

The Maine Coon is about two years old, weighs more than 13 kilograms (over 29 lb), and barely fits in someone’s arms. The handsome fellow has been named Martin.

Earlier we wrote that in Perm they are looking for a home for the chubby cat Stepan — he was taken in and raised by a young man, but was surrendered to a shelter because of a move to another city.
