A Walk Through New Dems District on a Weekday

This image shows the various daily routines of residents in the new Dems area.
Weekdays vary for everyone—some never see daylight, others work outdoors, and some don«t work at all. City neighborhoods look interesting during these hours, with various events happening while everyone is busy.

The UFA1.RU photographer continues a series on weekday life in different districts. He has already visited Sipaylovo, Shakshe, even rode to Chesnokovka and Mikhaylovka. Now he has visited Dems again, but this time the new part of the district. Previously, there was a report from the older part.

Construction work continues steadily while daily life unfolds independently around it.

The scene indicates that significant construction tasks remain incomplete in this area.

Despite ongoing construction, workers take their scheduled lunch breaks without interruption.
This part of Dems began to be developed from the late 2000s. At some point, there was a small pause, but in the last couple of years, construction has resumed at full pace. A whole microdistrict of new high-rises has appeared in the middle of a field. The scale is already visible from a distance.

Lunchtime is still far off, but despite this, quite a few mothers with young children are strolling in the courtyards. This makes sense—the district is new, and there is an abundance of young families living here. Many managed to buy housing at favorable prices. Now, you can«t even buy a one-room apartment here for less than 3.5 million rubles (about $38,900 at current rates).

The image shows modern playgrounds that have been added to the district for families.
There were many cars in the parking lots, all covered with a thin layer of snow. In Ufa, winter hasn«t arrived yet, and seeing people cleaning their cars is a bit unusual.

The sight of snow-covered cars is uncommon at this time of year in Ufa.
Besides young people, pensioners, of course, go about their shopping errands. They have already done their work and now simply stroll around the district. Since construction is underway almost everywhere here, there are many workers. Some of them are installing road signs, others are drilling holes for them in the ground, and the rest are erecting new buildings.

At the heart of the district are two kindergartens and a lyceum. By lunchtime, there were very many children around—some were being picked up from school by their mothers, others were walking home alone.
