On 18 and 19 July 2026, 23 traffic accidents occurred in Ulyanovsk Oblast. In one accident, a person was injured; in the other 22 cases, vehicles only sustained mechanical damage.
Among the incidents, a case recorded on 18 July in the Zasviyazhsky District of Ulyanovsk stands out. At about 20:25 near house No. 116, building 1 on Ryabikova Street, an unidentified driver in a Lada VAZ-2114 collided with a parked Lada VAZ-21101 in a parking bay. The impact pushed the VAZ-21101 into a pedestrian who was standing along the parking bay.
The victim was a girl born in 2015. She was taken to a medical facility and, after receiving assistance, was released home.
The circumstances of this accident are being clarified. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI) urges drivers not to be careless on the road, to obey traffic signs, and to reduce speed near pedestrian crossings and stops. The discipline of road users directly affects safety.
