Yekaterinburg locals report nasty discoveries in store-bought food

The other day, we reported how Yekaterinburg resident Anastasia found a strange animal in a can of peas. She had ordered groceries through a delivery service. When the customer opened the can, she didn«t suspect anything wrong at first. Readers of E1.RU also shared their frightening finds in food.

‘I found a huge larva in a can of corn,’ said Yekaterina.

‘Also in a can of corn, a fat caterpillar was found,’ added another reader.

‘In a can of stewed meat, I found a large green iridescent beetle in a bay leaf. It»s an indescribable feeling,’ shared Olga.

You can find interesting creatures not only in canned goods but also in regular or even ready-made food.

‘In a package of stuffed peppers, once a larva the size of a fingertip was found. I bought two packages and brought both to the store, they refunded the money immediately, even for the unopened package. Although they didn«t take it, they said, throw it away yourself,’ told Yekaterina.

‘I bought lightly salted trout on a tray from a chain store near home, and there were tapeworms. I didn«t bother, took it back, they refunded the money… won»t want fish for a long time,’ concluded Irina.

‘I boiled shrimp, was sitting, peeling, eating, watching TV at the same time and realized it«s not a shrimp, I look down, and there»s a scary small toothy fish, a monster. I threw it on the floor in fright, then took a dustpan and flushed it down the toilet. Only then I realized I should have taken a photo,’ shared her find Anastasia.

‘Literally this week, I bought a chocolate bar, started eating, opened the package more, and it was all covered in white cobwebs…’ told Anna.

Some Yekaterinburg residents were much less lucky. Some of them found sharp and hard objects in their food, which even caused harm to their health.

‘A stone was found in pizza. I bit into it sharply and my tooth shattered. It was very painful, but couldn«t be restored. So I got my first implant. Naturally, no one returned the 60,000 rubles (approximately $600 at current rates) for the tooth,’ shared Anastasia.

‘Once I found a sausage with a piece of glass, it injured my gum,’ added Dmitry.

‘Once in frying sausages, three fishing hooks were found,’ said Elena.

‘In tea, a stone and a piece of cable insulation were found,’ wrote to us Andrey.
