Murmansk Photographer Shares Family Cloudberry Preserve Recipe

The recipe is very simple
For Murmansk photographer Anton Chaiko, picking cloudberries has long been a family tradition. He has been gathering the berries since his school years — typically harvesting between 20 and 40 liters per season. This year, he decided to limit himself to 25 liters, since last year«s supplies are still sufficient.

Anton shared a simple method of preparation. First, the juice must be strained from the cloudberries, then sugar dissolved in it — about one-fifth of the weight of the berries.
The mixture is heated until the first bubbles appear and the berries change color. The cloudberries should not be boiled. This method allows you to quickly prepare the northern berry for winter while preserving its flavor.
