Falsified bread and sweets found in Novosibirsk region

In 2025, 388 samples of bakery and confectionery products were selected and tested, with falsified items found among them. This was reported by the Novosibirsk region office of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).

Sixty-seven samples were checked for sanitary-chemical indicators, and 154 for physico-chemical and organoleptic indicators. Another 205 samples were tested for microbiological indicators.

«During laboratory checks, violations of requirements were found in isolated cases. For each instance of non-standard products, the Office took prompt measures to suspend its sale and prevent it from reaching consumers,» the statement said.

The regional Rospotrebnadzor also provided recommendations to help buyers purchase safe products. They are shown in the accompanying infographic.

In 2025, the regional Rospotrebnadzor also tested 1,022 samples of dairy products. Among them, falsified products were found, including poor-quality butter.
