A cafe on Rakhov Street in Saratov has suspended operations for 14 days by court order due to the illegal employment of a foreigner. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (GU FSSP) for Saratov Region.

Bailiffs last Friday, January 30, sealed the entrance to the establishment, the windows for dispensing finished products, and the cash register. The cafe owner, an individual entrepreneur, was found guilty of an administrative offense under Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Illegal involvement of a foreign citizen in labor activity).

As established by the court, the entrepreneur hired a 29-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan as a cook, even though in Saratov Region there is a ban on involving foreigners in labor activity in the catering industry based on patents.

An employee of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Bailiffs initiated enforcement proceedings, went to the site, and handed the owner a copy of the ruling. The debtor was personally warned about liability for prematurely resuming the establishment«s operation.
