Ulyanovsk region expands support for student families to part-time students

Student families in Ulyanovsk region have seen an expansion of social support measures.
Ulyanovsk student families can now receive a one-time payment of 200,000 rubles (about $2,000 at current rates) upon the birth of a child, regardless of their form of study. This directive was given by Governor Alexey Russkikh. Previously, this support measure under the national project «Family» was available only to full-time students. The same amount is provided to pregnant students who register at 22 weeks of pregnancy.
Also, from January 1, a payment of 300,000 rubles (about $3,000 at current rates) applies not only to the third child but to all subsequent children. Large families will receive compensation for 50% of the cost of paid education not for one but for each child studying at universities and colleges in the region.
Recall that an extensive program of support for young families is being implemented in Ulyanovsk region. Thus, families are compensated for the cost of rental housing. Upon the birth of the first child before they turn three, the compensation is 50%, and for the second and subsequent children—75%. A network of free rental points for newborn items has been organized, as well as short-stay rooms for infants.
