Siblings reunite with brother after 22 years via DNA test
Genetic testing established the biological relationship between Sasha, Misha, and Dima after years apart.
In the broadcast of the program «Let Them Talk!» on Channel One, two episodes aired about the story of Yekaterinburg residents who found a lost relative after two decades. We already told about Alexandra, who at 25 years old met her younger brother Dima for the first time.
Immediately after birth, Sasha«s mother left her son in the hospital; when her parents found out and wanted to take the grandson, the boy had already been adopted. In the studio, Dima»s adoptive mother Tatyana told how he came into their family. According to Tatyana, she and her husband couldn«t have children of their own, so her husband»s sister suggested they take a child who had been abandoned, after seeing a program about such children. The broadcast showed a little girl, and Tatyana and Yevgeny went to find her.
«I was 23, my husband was 26. We took a lunch break from work, went to an organization with abandoned children. They said they had no one, we went to the hospital, didn«t find what we were looking for either, and at the last moment they told us: “Wait, we have a boy ready for discharge. A wonderful baby!”. They brought him out, placed him in my husband»s arms with the words “Here you go, mom and dad”. And that was it», — shared Tatyana.
Dima was 24 days old then, the documents were processed quickly, and a month after birth the boy was already celebrating in his new family. Only when Dima became an adult did Tatyana decide to tell him that he has biological relatives.
On the program, they did a DNA test that confirmed that Dima is the biological brother of Sasha and Misha; they have the same mother and father. All three, as well as Denis — their father — met this news with tears in their eyes, although even without the test it was obvious how much the brothers and sister resemble each other.
Meanwhile, after Dima was left in the maternity hospital, their mother Anna gave birth to another boy — Danya. He has a different father — Ramil, and when he came to the studio, a scandal erupted. Sasha accused him of beating their mother and also little Danil. Ramil himself did not admit that Danya is his son and did not participate in his life in any way, although a DNA test also confirmed that he is his biological father.
They produced a brief video documenting the incredible journey of the family«s reconciliation.
