Ryazan Woman Gives Birth in Car During Emergency

At the very beginning of the New Year, a little girl from Ryazan was born in a car on Yesenina Street, as reported on social media by the regional Ministry of Health.

A 19-year-old Ryazan woman felt contractions late in the evening, panicked, and decided to ask a neighbor for help. The neighbor called an ambulance. The team, consisting of resuscitator-anesthesiologist Oksana Nikushina, paramedics Dmitry Sidorov and Yury Sukhov, and driver Sergey Vorobyov, quickly arrived at the address.

They managed to carry the woman in labor from the entrance on a stretcher into the vehicle and took her to the maternity hospital. But on the way, the birth began.

«The situation was not the easiest. The lives of both the mother and the child were at risk. We tried very hard and succeeded. The baby girl was born — healthy, full-term, weighing more than three kilograms. She cried immediately,» said Oksana Nikushina.

We provided all necessary assistance to the mother and the girl and took them to the maternity hospital in satisfactory condition.
