A perinatal center in Ryazan performed a fifth Cesarean section during childbirth. The hospital reported this on social media.
Because this was already the fifth C-section, the operation involved difficulties, but the doctors managed and everything went successfully. The woman gave birth to her fourth daughter, weighing 3330 grams (7.3 pounds) and measuring 51 centimeters (20 inches). This is the fifth child in the family.
«With an increase in the number of C-sections for one patient, the risk of complications naturally increases. Technically, a repeat operation often has its own peculiarities, and in a greater percentage of cases, the time of the operation increases,» clarified the perinatal center.
The mother and her baby girl are feeling well and have already been discharged home.
