Record Number of Samara Mothers Have Tenth Child in 2025

The Civil Registry Office of Samara Region reported unusual birth records for 2025, including multiple births and parents in their 70s and 50s, with many families welcoming their fifth to eleventh children.

In the regional Civil Registry Office, they shared unusual records from last year. Thus, twins were born in 273 Samara families, and in four — triplets. The oldest father in 2025 was a 74-year-old Samara resident, and the oldest mother — a 51-year-old woman from the region.

But the most impressive data was on large families.

«In 537 Samara families, the child born in 2025 became the fifth child in the family; in 181 families — the sixth; in 53 families — the seventh; in 29 families — the eighth; in 18 families — the ninth; in 5 families — the tenth; and in 2 families — the eleventh,» reported the Civil Registry Office Committee of Samara Region.

The Civil Registry Office also listed the rarest and most unusual names given to Samara babies born in 2025. Parents went all out, so now somewhere in the region, boys and girls with names like Vsemir, Colt, Kosmos, Panteleimon, Savvaty, Matryona, Ophelia, Pavla, and Fevroniya are cooing, riding in strollers, and preparing to take their first steps.
