Number of orphans getting apartments in Altai Krai disclosed

In Altai Krai, efforts to provide housing for orphans and children left without parental care are actively continuing. The regional Ministry of Construction NGS22.RU reported that in 2025, 196 apartments were purchased for children without parental care.
“Last year, housing conditions were improved for 767 people. For them, 196 apartments were acquired, and 571 housing certificates were paid for. 2.7 billion rubles (approximately $30 million at current rates) were allocated from the budget for these purposes,” the ministry noted.
For comparison, in 2024, 718 orphans received housing. At that time, 281 apartments were provided and 437 housing certificates were paid for, with total costs amounting to 2.18 billion rubles (approximately $24.2 million at current rates).
It was previously reported that currently, there are 123 children in Barnaul orphanages who are fully supported by the state. Over the past three years, more than 90 children have found new families through the foster care program.
