The charitable organization «Territory of Family» shared how the «No-Shave November» campaign is helping a mother and her three children who escaped a domestic tyrant. The woman fled her ex-husband after a year of abuse.

As told by «Territory of Family», the couple lived together for over 10 years, divorced, but continued living together for a year because they were buying an apartment with a mortgage and Maria (name changed) had no way to live separately. During this time, Maria«s ex-husband drank heavily. He caused scandals, used force against family members, pressured the woman for intimacy in front of the children, and hit the kids on the head.

Maria and her children fled the home and turned to »Territory of Family«. They were placed in a safe apartment, and now the woman is being counseled by a lawyer, a social worker, and a psychologist. One of the children had severe anxiety; from the stress experienced, his hands trembled, and he stuttered. After working with a psychologist, the child»s condition began to improve: he became calmer and more confident.

You can help Maria and other women by participating in the «No-Shave November» campaign. For a small donation to the fund (from 500 rubles, about $5 at current rates), participants are offered to receive bonuses from well-known Perm brands. The organizers call on men not to shave for the entire November and to post photos on social media with the hashtag #nebrityabrperm, but this condition is optional.

The fund plans to use the raised money to equip safe apartments. These are temporarily provided to pregnant women and mothers with children if for some reason they cannot live at home. The fund also helps women who have suffered from domestic violence.

Earlier, we covered another campaign. «Dedmorozim» asked Perm residents not to drink on New Year«s Eve and to send the money saved on sparkling wine to sick children.
