The story of 14-year-old Nastya (name changed — ed.) from Tolyatti, which came to public attention thanks to a publication by 63.RU, has taken a new, ambiguous turn. The girl is now in a children«s social institution where, apparently, she is finally being cared for. According to volunteers from the Samara public organization »Right to Happiness,« she attends cultural events, looks well-groomed, and is receiving support. This gives hope.

Recall that 14-year-old Nastya from Tolyatti became a victim of years of systemic failure. She lived alone in an apartment turned into a dump while her mother was being treated for alcoholism. According to activists, the girl had been using drugs since age 12, sleeping with adult men, and facing threats. After she reported a rape, one man was arrested, but her life did not change. The school and neighbors had been alerting child protection services for years, but to no avail. The situation was exposed by volunteers from «Right to Happiness,» and only then was the girl placed in a social institution.

But now, when the worst seems to be over, the main fear of activists and concerned citizens persists and even intensifies: what if it is decided to return her «home»? The situation in her native apartment, according to neighbors« reports, has not just failed to improve — it has become even more dangerous.

«If before the girl lived alone in unsanitary conditions, now the situation, according to neighbors, has worsened due to the inappropriate behavior of the returned mother. The woman, who recently left a rehabilitation center, has been seen intoxicated. There are reports of her inappropriate actions, for example, that she runs naked through the floors. Meanwhile, strangers continue to gather in the apartment and throw noisy parties,» say the volunteers.

Public activists from the organization «Right to Happiness,» who saved the girl from complete ruin at the time, are sounding the alarm again. They have informed neighbors about the possibility of filing a collective statement with the police to officially record the violations.

While the girl is in the institution, her safety is ensured. But the main struggle now is to ensure that this stay does not become just a brief respite before returning to the previous nightmare.
