Love knows no age: 97-year-old groom weds 76-year-old bride in Kislovodsk

Forming a family is a serious step, but in Kislovodsk in 2025, it was proven that age is no argument for love. Sometimes, it«s just numbers on a passport that don»t prevent saying «I do.»
According to the civil registry office (ZAGS) of the resort city, the oldest groom last year was 97 years old, and his bride was 70. The oldest bride was 76, and her groom was 90. These were low-key weddings but rich in life experience, representing the most «seasoned» marriages of the year.
But age wasn«t the only surprise. In 2025, residents and visitors of Kislovodsk actively chose »beautiful dates« for marriage registration. In total, more than 140 couples tied the knot on such days. The most popular dates were:
25 May 2025 — 14 couples
5 July 2025 and 25 July 2025
8 August 2025 — 12 couples each
Love scheduled by the calendar, with harmonious numbers and rings on fingers. Resort weddings were a distinct trend. Under a project linking the civil registry office (ZAGS) with sanatoriums and resorts, 151 marriages were registered in Kislovodsk in 2025 among tourists and visitors.
Romantic strolls, mineral water, and a passport stamp — all part of the resort experience.
