In Altai Krai, officials have announced the most popular and rare names given to newborns in January.
Among boys, the most common names were Alexander, Artyom, and Timofey. Girls in the first month of the year were most often named Eva, Sofia, and Polina.
However, some parents opted for rare names. In January, boys named Gabriel, Niko, Sevastian, and Thomas were born in the region, as well as girls named Danelia, Latvina, Milada, and Severina.
