Krasnoyarsk Residents Recall Funny Childhood Mom Stories
Annually on the last Sunday of November, Russia celebrates Mother«s Day. In 2025, the holiday falls on November 30.
For the NGS24.RU editorial team, this is an opportunity to recall the warmest and funniest stories about those who are always there — even when we disappear “all over the city”, shave our hair, or try to break a child lock on the refrigerator.
We took to the city streets and asked Krasnoyarsk residents what funny or simply warm moments they associate with their mothers. Some immediately recall the “classic mom” who might get angry but smiles again in a minute. Others remember a strict and demanding mom who built character.
Several of our Telegram channel subscribers also shared their stories:
“In childhood, I was chubby, ate a lot, a lot, my parents couldn»t stop me. Plus, my grandma was always feeding me extra. In the end, my mom solved the problem radically: she put a lock on the kitchen and the refrigerator so I couldn«t get in when she wasn»t there... I broke the lock anyway!” writes a user with the nickname Srob.
“I was three or four years old. My mom and I were vacationing at Lake Shira (Khakassia, Russia), and I went too deep into the water, started drowning. There were many people, but only my mom noticed, jumped in and pulled me out. True, then I got what I deserved — for the rest of the vacation at the beach, I only walked nearby and holding hands,” recalls our reader with the nickname Yaroslav.
