Dmitry Dibrov and Polina Dibrova divorce
The couple had spent much of their free time together, but later went separate ways.
The saga titled «Dibrov’s Divorce» has come to an end. News that the TV host’s wife had left him emerged in late July, and today the couple, together for 16 years, officially divorced. Lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky announced this.
— «Today a magistrate’s court in Moscow Oblast officially dissolved the marriage of Dmitry and Polina Dibrov,» Dobrovinsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Dibrovs themselves were not at the hearing; they have more pressing matters: Dmitry is busy with work, and Polina is taking part in a regatta (sailing race) in Turkey.
While lawyers handled proceedings, Polina Dibrova joined a regatta in Turkey.
— «The regatta’s theme is the search for meaning. “To be honest in choosing myself, so that what…” is the theme I chose. Of course I spoke about the divorce. With my chest clenched, I went to speak. So hard. Tears again. I spoke about hate and support. Everyone feels like an ex somewhere. And when the finale comes, the beginning bursts to the forefront. Everything starts with realizing you’re not living your own life. And after that — the choice. It did not come easily,» Polina reflects.
Dmitry and Polina Dibrov married in 2009. Over the course of the marriage they had three sons, the eldest of whom is 16.
The family spent vacations together earlier, despite the later decision to separate.
A settlement agreement concluded by the former spouses stipulates that the children will live with their mother. So that they can see their father at any time, Polina rented a house on the same street where Dmitry Dibrov lives.
The parties reached agreement on all key points. According to the lawyers, there is little to divide. The large villa where the family lived was purchased by Dmitry Dibrov before the marriage, so it remains his property. Other property issues were settled by mutual consent.
Polina Dibrova left her husband for Roman Tovstik, a billionaire and father of many children. As for Dmitry Dibrov, he is not discouraged either: during a recent livestream he admitted he already has a new love interest and promised to reveal her name soon.
