The unified benefit is a targeted support measure for families whose average per capita income does not exceed the regional living wage.

The size of the unified benefit depends on the regional living wage and is equivalent to 50%, 75%, or 100% of this amount — depending on the family«s income level.

The living wage for a child, which determines the size of the unified benefit for children, from January 1 in the regions of the Far North of Arkhangelsk Oblast is 23,974 rubles (approximately $266 at current rates), and in areas equated to the Far North of Arkhangelsk Oblast — 20,628 rubles (approximately $229 at current rates).

For the working-age population, the living wage after the increase equals 26,939 rubles (approximately $299 at current rates) in the regions of the Far North of Arkhangelsk Oblast, and 23,180 rubles (approximately $258 at current rates) in equated areas. These amounts correspond to the unified benefit set for expectant mothers at the maximum level.

“The increased payment for January will be transferred to families« bank cards in early February, since the unified benefit is paid in the current month for the previous one. Delivery of the benefit through post offices will proceed according to the usual schedule from February 3 to 25. If the unified benefit was assigned for the first time in January of this year, the first payment will arrive within 5 working days after the decision is made,” added the Branch of the Social Fund for Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
