A native of Krasnokamensk, Yevgeny Lekomtsev (born Alexey Kolbin) found his sister on the show «Wait for Me» (a Russian TV program for reuniting families). He contacted the program to find his biological parents. The episode aired on January 23.

Alexandra Viktorovna Kolbina is the biological mother of Lyubov and Yevgeny, whose life involved struggles with alcohol.

“I was born in Krasnokamensk, from there I was adopted. I grew up in a foster family. I found out about this in 2014: my foster mother left home and got lost. I was working in the north then, my sister in Ulyanovsk. We flew in to search for her. The whole village looked, couldn«t find her. In spring, news came from the police that a hunter found my mother near the village. Apparently, she went for a walk in the forest. The cause was never determined,” Yevgeny said.

He added that at that time, the local police officer asked for a DNA test, and it turned out that the resident of Tyumen Oblast was not his biological son. His sister was also adopted — she knew about it but kept it a secret.

According to documents, Yevgeny was born on April 12, 1981: “My sister said that there were three of us brothers in the family. I understand that the family was dysfunctional. The father took the eldest brother, I was also taken. The brother named Yevgeny remained with the mother. The surname is Kolbin.”

Yevgeny«s childhood photos were seen by Lyubov Medvedeva (nee Kolbina). She sent to the show a photo of her mother Alexandra Viktorovna Kolbina: “I know nothing about my mother, I don»t know any grandparents. I understand that my mother was imprisoned for drunkenness. She was released, my father Nikolai Ivanovich Korneev waited for her, then I was born in Krasnokamensk. My mother«s friend said that she cut alcohol out of her life because she had a girl — me. In the 90s, we lived in prosperity, lacked for nothing.”

Lyubov had a brother Nikolai. In 1998, when the girl was 7 years old, her mother died: “From December 27, she started celebrating her birthday, then continued celebrating all holidays until January 6. My father was on a business trip. She went to visit a friend, fell asleep and didn«t wake up.”

For another year, the brother and sister lived at home, skipped school, the father was at work. Then the children were taken to an orphanage: “My father was told to find a woman because I am a girl and need care. He got married, after six months we were returned. With that woman, he started drinking. She was a bad woman, stole food, disappeared for a week. My father beat her. Kolya and I were taken to the orphanage again, and then for bad behavior sent to Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky boarding school No. 2.”

After graduating from school, Nikolai left, and they do not communicate with his sister.

“My mother«s friend invited me over and said that I supposedly have brothers: Lyosha, Zhenya, Seryozha, and Igor. Igor, as far as I know, drowned. I tried to find out information, but the guardianship authorities said nothing,” Lyubov said.

The show«s host clarified that Alexey, after adoption, became Yevgeny Lekomtsev. After birth, his mother left him in the maternity hospital. The ordered DNA test showed that Lyubov and Yevgeny are indeed brother and sister.

Lyubov Medvedeva told a Chita.Ru correspondent on January 24 that now, together with her brother Yevgeny, they hope that the program episode or the news will be seen by their brother Yevgeny Kolbin.

“We communicate, we are friends. Sergei and Nikolai refused to participate in the program. About Yevgeny, we only know the surname and first name,” Lyubov added.
