Weekend in Kazan: What to Do on January 31 and February 1

This weekend, we welcome the last month of winter. Concert by the Band Strelki (18+)

This Saturday at «Maximilian»s,« the golden lineup of the band Strelki will perform with their hits »You Left Me,« »At the Party,« and »Handsome.«

The band existed from 1997 until the early 2000s, and in 2015, it reunited with the members: Svetlana «Gera» Bobkina, Maria «Margo» Bibilova, and Yekaterina «Radio Operator Kat» Kravtsova.

Orchestra Concert (6+)

On the same evening, an orchestra concert will take place, performing music from Soviet and world cinema. Luminous Orchestra will present iconic works from cult Soviet films—«The Bremen Town Musicians,» «Operation Y,» «Gentlemen of Fortune,» as well as from world cinema: «Gladiator,» «Schindler»s List,« »Pirates of the Caribbean,« and others.

Audio Performance «Shurale» (18+)
On January 31, in the first-floor hall of the National Library, the final event of the exhibition-installation «Kytykly-Mytykly» will take place—an audio performance with DJ Shura Lee. He will become the «voice of the forest» and send guests on a sonic journey.

Humor Show (6+)
On January 31 and February 1 at «Unics,» a humor concert by Tatar artist Danir Sabirov «Pesets Bulyrga Tiyesh» (literally translates as «it should be a mess») will be held. Guests can expect jokes, bright images, and witty parodies. Children under 6 enter free.

Balagun Chinatown (18+)
On the night from Saturday to Sunday, you can head to Bazzar club for the Chinese party Balagun «Chinatown.» Organizers promise to raffle off a ticket to China right during the party.
For girls, entry is free until 1:00 AM upon subscribing to the venue«s channel. There is face control at the entrance.

Sunday, February 1
Drive-In Cinema (no restrictions)
Spend Sunday evening in a calm setting: buy hot popcorn, warm up the car well, and go to the drive-in cinema. They will show two films—«Focus» (2014) and «The Girl in Cabin 10» (2025).

«Lost Highway» (18+)
On this day, the cult 1996 film by director David Lynch, «Lost Highway,» will also be shown in cinemas.
Lynch could have turned 80 on January 20; he died on January 18, 2025, in California.

If you still want activities, at 7:00 PM in Reborn club, a rock concert will be held: the group SLO Community will perform punk, rock, and alternative. Organizers position the evening as «for those who want to headbang, sing along to tracks, and feel freedom.»

Family Quest Game (no restrictions)
On Saturday afternoon, a family quest game will be held on the boulevard along Serova Street. Participants can expect an obstacle course, football in felt boots, and bandy. Before the start, families can warm up and relax in eco-pavilions, where a board game zone will be available.
Teams must have 6 people, registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Quest «Dragon»s Pearl« (8+)
At the National Museum, the quest game «Dragon»s Pearl« will be held. Guests will need to pass 12 stations dedicated to signs of the Chinese zodiac, solve puzzles, and collect parts of an astrological puzzle to receive a prize. After the quest, guests can attend a master class on creating a Chinese fan.

Concert with Bloggers (6+)
On Sunday afternoon at «Korston,» an interactive show for children and teenagers with bloggers and artists will be held. Guests can expect a big concert, autograph session, gifts, and surprises. There will also be an opportunity to meet with bloggers after the concert: chat, shoot trends, and take photos.
