Voronezh Gymnast Daria Dubova Leaves Titans Battle of Seasons Show
In the previous season, Daria advanced much further.
On January 25, TNT aired a new season of the show «Titans» (18+), titled «Battle of Seasons» (18+). In it, 111 of the strongest participants from previous seasons are competing for the title of absolute titan, with 37 athletes from each. Among them are athletes from Voronezh — three-time world champion in strength calisthenics Denis Saratov and youth Olympic champion, two-time European champion in rhythmic gymnastics, absolute world champion in team aesthetic gymnastics, and rhythmic gymnastics coach Daria Dubova.
In the new season, participants were divided into teams by season and color: season 1 wore orange uniforms, season 2 — green, season 3 — gray. The competition began immediately, and after the first challenge, 12 athletes left the show. The battle opened with the «Endless Pull» challenge, where athletes had to do as many lifts as possible, with men lifting 30% of their body weight and women 25%.
Voronezh native Denis Saratov was placed in team season 1, while Daria Dubova ended up in team season 3. After the first challenge, Daria«s team took second place, losing three participants. Unfortunately, among those eliminated was the Voronezh gymnast. The champion was very upset to leave the show so early.
«I»m terribly sorry to leave «Battle of Seasons» when you know that every girl is worth her weight in gold, and one gets eliminated right at the first challenge,« the gymnast shared.
Denis Saratov, however, will continue to participate in the show — among 99 athletes. The next episode of «Titans» will air at 21:00 on Sunday, February 1.
