Singer MakSim hospitalized after father’s death

MakSim (Marina Abrosimova) lost her father. Amid the stress, the singer’s condition worsened, and doctors hospitalized her.

Sergei Abrosimov died at the age of 66. He had long battled stage 4 cancer — doctors gave him no more than a year, but he lived another 14 years.

“Now my brother and I no longer have a dad. When dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, doctors said he had no more than a year to live. But he proved that a prognosis is not always a death sentence. He lived another 14 happy years. Unfortunately, the disease eventually took its toll. Rest in peace. You will forever remain in my heart. I love you and will always remember you,” the artist wrote.

The singer is now in the hospital under medical supervision. All upcoming performances had to be canceled.

“Due to severe stress, my health sharply deteriorated, I required hospitalization, and I am currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, doctors have forbidden me from flying and any performances until my condition fully stabilizes,” MakSim said.

Former MBAND group member, singer Anatoly Tsoi, announced a significant event in his personal life. The artist held a church wedding with his chosen one and shared photos from the celebration, but has not yet revealed the woman’s name.

Bezrukov pays tuition for all his students

People’s Artist Sergei Bezrukov has been covering the tuition costs for fee-paying students in his course at VGIK (All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography) for four years. Actor Anatoly Kots shared this on the program “Between Takes.”

Kots’s daughter Alisa did not get a state-funded place, but there was no need to pay — Bezrukov paid for her and other students himself. To cover the expenses (600,000 rubles per student per year, approximately $6,600 at current rates), the actor specifically films commercials; this money also goes toward festivals for students.

The actor admitted he does this for the sake of healthy competition, not out of pity. He himself studied for free in his time and considers it wrong to divide students into state-funded and fee-paying categories.

“My students who are fee-paying — I paid for them all these years. My whole course is free. Because I believed there should be healthy competition, not some sense of inferiority. Like, someone is on a state budget, and I pay. These are considerable sums, 600,000 rubles a year. I think it’s wrong,” the actor admitted in an interview with Kino-Teatr.Ru.

Bezrukov treats his students like a father. He wants them to develop not only within the university but also beyond it.

Lerchek faces stricter restrictions

The Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow has resumed proceedings in the criminal case of blogger Valeriya Chekalina (Lerchek). On July 30, a decision will be made on changing her preventive measure due to violations of imposed restrictions.

The human rights defender believes the pier is in disrepair and poses a threat to others, so he demands the demolition of the structure and termination of the lease agreement with Pugacheva.
