Vanya Dmitrienko: 'Many said the truth' about Krid's style

Russian pop heartthrobs Vanya Dmitrienko and Egor Krid are crossing swords over their concert visuals. After both artists announced major shows and released promotional posters, fans noticed striking similarities in the knight-themed artwork. Dmitrienko published his teaser first and believes his colleague borrowed the idea.
At a pre-concert party, Dmitrienko told StarHit magazine that he sees the resemblance but avoided harsh criticism of his rival. He said:
“Many people have already spoken about this and said the truth. My team and I had been working on the concept since November. The coincidence surprised us, and we had mixed feelings. Now we just continue our work—we have no other option. We won«t change the concept. But honestly, our visions are quite different.”
The artist added that he messaged Krid to clarify the situation but received no reply.
Earlier, TV host Ksenia Sobchak made an ironic remark about Krid. She noted that although everything in the world has already been done, she found it amusing that two top singers released nearly identical photo shoots at almost the same time.
“Of course, everything in this world has already been invented and «has been,» but I still found it funny that two top singers came out with such similar photo shoots almost simultaneously. I«m talking about our main TikTok knights — Vanya Dmitrienko and Egor Krid. What»s the timing? Vanya«s photos, as an announcement of his concert and the show»s theme at Luzhniki, appeared online two weeks before Egor«s armor shots from Gosha Rubchinsky»s campaign,” she said.
Sobchak also promised to attend Krid«s show.
“Egor Krid, even though you haven«t yet gotten brave enough to come to my interview, I accept your invitation and will come to your concert at Luzhniki. I»m genuinely curious what you«ve done. And of course, I want to personally make sure you weren»t inspired by Vanya Dmitrienko, but did everything yourself, beautifully and coolly. I believe in you! There are plenty of ideas besides knights in this world. If anything, call me—we«ll brainstorm together,” the journalist said.
