Valeriya returns to The Mask with bold looks for season 7
It«s time to awaken your inner Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple, as February approaches and with it the new season of the show »The Mask« (12+). The premiere will take place on February 8. The creators are keeping secret which artists are participating and are not revealing the costumes. However, they couldn»t resist sharing which character images the contestants will appear in.
As always, 14 characters will take the stage. According to the rules, the judges must guess which artist is performing in front of them despite altered voices and unusual costumes that completely cover the face and figure. Jury members can ask questions and make guesses, but the participants are also allowed to hide themselves by any means. Some fully develop their character, only weaving in fragments of their biography, while others change their speech mannerisms every episode.
However, showing their cunning is not everything. The judges must also like the musical performance, because the participants with the weakest acts will be nominated for elimination.
Fighting for the main prize in the seventh season will be the Ram, Beaver, Bogatyr (a hero from Russian folklore), Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Beetle, Hummingbird, Coral, Fox, Frog, Moon, Dandelion, Bullfinch, and Meerkat. To confuse the judges even more, the creators prepared all costumes so they do not match the participant«s real parameters. Thus, the judges lose another clue — estimating the artist by height or build.
Guessing who is hiding under the mask will be the permanent jury members Regina Todorenko and Timur Rodriguez. Joining them once again to test her wits and intuition is Valeriya.
No less effort was put into the singer«s outfits for the new season than into the contestants» costumes. Valeriya will appear in a red latex dress reminiscent of the Red Queen«s outfit from »Alice in Wonderland«, and in a metallic corset and armbands resembling knight»s armor. It«s immediately clear — she is armed to the teeth for the seventh season and ready to take the bull by the horns.
«It is very interesting that those we know well we cannot guess, because when putting on a mask, the artists sing and behave completely differently. For each jury member, the reveal of the mask is a colossal surprise and celebration. Sometimes you don»t even want to guess!« — shared Valeriya.
Heading this friendly company will be chairman Philip Kirkorov. By tradition, he will most often appear in classic suits of unusual colors. But, judging by the first photos from the shoot, the singer also could not resist experiments. In one of the episodes, he will appear in a baseball cap, a meme T-shirt, and a net. Perhaps this way the king of pop wants to support a rapper contestant.
«Intuition usually does not let me down. But »The Mask« is a very confusing project. The producers and artists have already learned to confuse us so well, have become so adept, that with every season guessing becomes more and more difficult. But I am not afraid to look funny, absurd, not afraid to make mistakes,» — Kirkorov is positive before the new season.
