At the end of 2025, MrBeast was named the richest blogger. Foreign publications estimated his wealth at 500–550 million dollars. However, he did not hold the leading position for long. Recently, he yielded the golden blogger throne to Khaby Lame. The TikToker sold the rights to his face for three years and allowed the creation of an AI double for an astronomical 900 million dollars. It«s hard to imagine, but five years ago, the most popular, and now also the richest blogger, was unemployed and couldn»t even afford to rent an apartment.

Khaby Lame was born in Africa, but when the boy was one year old, his parents emigrated to Italy. The family lived poorly and could not pay for the boy«s college. Khaby had no choice but to go to work after school.

Lame managed to get a job as a worker at an automobile plant. The pay was low, but the guy was happy with what he had. Since childhood, he tried to look at life with optimism and dreamed that sooner or later his life would change. In his free time, like many, he published his photos online, scrolled through videos, but never thought about becoming a blogger.

Everything changed in 2020. The pandemic hit, and Khaby was laid off. If, while working, he could at least afford to live separately from his parents, then after losing his job, he had to give that up. He returned to his father«s house and shared a room with his younger brother. But, as it turned out, every cloud has a silver lining.

«I was bored because I had a lot of free time, so I started making videos for TikTok,» Khaby said in one interview.

While many aspiring influencers were looking for the perfect background for their videos, buying lavalier mics and additional lighting, Khaby only needed the front camera of his phone and the white wall of his room.

The first video he published was exposing a prank. First, Khaby showed the video itself: a girl«s leg is discreetly fastened with a bicycle lock, and she supposedly cannot get out. After that, Lame, without uttering a word, shows that one could simply take off the shoe and get out without effort.

Lame enjoyed filming reactions to others« videos. Delving into the depths of TikTok, he stumbled upon an untapped field of strange and useless life hacks. Some suggested fastening two spoons together to eat soup, instead of just flipping it over; others cut the skin off a banana, instead of just peeling it with hands.

All these treasures of wisdom Khaby showed to his subscribers, and after videos with an emotionless face, without saying a word, he showed how one could simplify their life. In the very first videos, Khaby had his signature move, where he spreads his hands, silently saying: «And what»s so difficult about that?«

Lame«s first videos did not make it into the platform»s recommendations and gathered crumbs of views. Friends and parents watched Khaby«s amusement with the same face as he did anti-life hacks, and repeated that funny videos would not feed him.

«When I just started making videos, I was told to find a normal job,» the young man recalls. «But I continued to film them because I enjoy it, even if no one watched them.»

«I became a hostage of expectations»

The more videos Khaby filmed, the more often they appeared in recommendations. In a year, he gained several tens of millions of subscribers, and in two — 146 million. If at first the blogger filmed videos out of boredom, then, having gained popularity, he put them on stream.

«Every day I spend at least three hours searching for a suitable video to parody. I always try to be careful not to offend anyone with my videos, and I always prefer to joke in the spirit of carefree parody,» Khaby admitted.

Popular brands noticed Khaby. He became the face of McDonald’s, HUGO BOSS, and many others. Khaby spent his first money on education. He took courses in English and acting.

«My dream is to become an actor and make people laugh,» Khaby stated in one interview.

Khaby saved money for his own house and moved to the USA. By that time, he already had hundreds of imitators, and to somehow distinguish himself from them, the blogger started inviting various stars to shoots and, besides the usual exposures, making full-fledged sketches.

In some, he parodied people«s strange behavior; in others, he came up with continuations for videos. For example, what will a driver do if a huge spider gets into his car? He will gather all his things, lock the car, push it somewhere far away, and forget that he ever had it. The only thing that never changed — Khaby remained completely silent everywhere.

Over time, fans grew tired of the silent Lame and asked him to come up with something new, but Khaby did not want to use his voice.

«I became a hostage of expectations. People expected from me someone I am not,» he complained in one show.

By the end of 2025, Khaby himself grew tired of endlessly filming videos. He lost the desire to attend events, and his cherished dream to become an actor was always in the background. It was time to change something.

In 2026, he sold his face for 900 million dollars to the company Rich Sparkle for three years. For this time, the firm received the right to use his image in advertising and film videos with his AI double, and Khaby for this time can take a break and do what he really enjoys.
