Stavropol electrician Alexander Guzko impresses Pelageya on The Voice

Stavropol resident Alexander Guzko made a strong impression during the blind auditions of the show «The Voice» (12+). He took the stage with the Cossack dance song «Oysya, ty oysya!» (6+) — and from the first notes it was clear: this would be no ordinary performance.

Coach Pelageya turned around almost immediately. Folk vocals, powerful delivery, and confidence in his voice did the trick — the artist clearly heard a performer she could work with.
But the most emotional moment came at the end of the performance. After choosing his coach, Alexander unexpectedly fulfilled a long-held dream — he sang the old folk song «Pod rakitoyu» (6+) together with Pelageya. The short duet became the real highlight of the number and a moment viewers will surely remember.
After the blind auditions, Alexander admitted that his choice of repertoire was deliberate.
«This song works well for me. Everyone close to me always said I should sing in a folk style. So I decided to go out and bring the heat,» the Stavropol resident said.
Judging by the reaction of the audience and the coach, he indeed managed to bring the heat. Now Alexander Guzko moves on to the next stage of the show. And we will cheer for our fellow countryman and wait for his next appearance on stage!
