St. Petersburg Bookstore Podpisnye Izdaniya to Open in Moscow

The Museum of Russian Impressionism, celebrating its 10th anniversary, will host the first Moscow branch of the renowned St. Petersburg bookstore and cafe, Podpisnye Izdaniya.

The space «Podpisnye v muzee» will technically open on February 13, with full operation starting in March, following the museum«s schedule.

The interior was designed by the architectural bureau Aurore. Representatives of the bookstore promise: «Visitors will be able to leisurely choose and read books, have a snack, and chat with attentive consultants who are ready not only to recommend books but also to discuss exhibitions.»

The assortment will include:

  • art books and albums;
  • new releases from independent publishers;
  • children«s literature;
  • artist supplies, including rare Japanese stationery;
  • museum publications and exclusive souvenirs created for each exhibition, from postcards to cosmetic sets.

The first exhibition that the store will support is «Under the Mask,» dedicated to carnivals and masquerades of the 19th–20th centuries with works by Vladimir Makovsky, Sergei Sudeikin, Sergei Vinogradov, Abram Arkhipov, and other artists.

At «Podpisnye v muzee,» workshops and book presentations are also planned, and in summer, visitors can look forward to open verandas with a view of Moscow.
