Skating Rink in Tereshkova Park to Close for 24 Hours
The Student«s Day celebration at the Tereshkova Park rink is an established local tradition in the city of Chelyabinsk.
The skating rink in Tereshkova Park will be closed to the public for 24 hours starting on the evening of January 24. As reported by the city culture committee, this time has been allocated for organizing events intended exclusively for students.
The park administration provided details: «Due to the event at the V.V. Tereshkova Children»s Park skating rink, the 10 p.m. session on January 24 and all sessions on January 25 (from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. inclusive) have been canceled.«
Only those with invitation tickets will be able to attend the celebration. However, it is still unclear whether the event will be canceled in case of severe frosts, which are forecast for the coming days.
The Chelyabinsk city administration revealed the event program: «A rich program has been prepared for them: a figure skating demonstration, vocal and dance performances. Students will also have to show quick wit in a music contest and dexterity in a dance interactive. All participants will be treated to a delicious snack: hot tea with gingerbread cookies.»
It is worth noting that celebrating Student«s Day at the Tereshkova Park skating rink has already become an annual tradition for Chelyabinsk.
