Serega cannot forgive Tyumen native's victory on show

Volleyball player Igor Prokhorov defeated rapper Serega but faced insults instead of a handshake.
Rapper Serega stated in an interview with Alena Blin that he still cannot forgive his defeat to a volleyball player from Tyumen on the project «Survive in Istanbul».
As part of the show, the musician, performer of the hit «Black Boomer», competed against professional athlete Igor Prokhorov. In one challenge, participants had to pull a log so that a tied ball would fall into a bucket. Serega did not understand the rules and lost, but considered the result unfair.
The artist demanded a rematch, but the organizers refused. After the contest, Prokhorov, following sports tradition, offered a handshake, but the rapper rejected the gesture and called his opponent a coward. This behavior outraged viewers, who accused Serega of being unable to accept defeat gracefully.
Later, the musician left the project, after which he gave explanations in a conversation with Alena Zhigalova.
«At that moment I was in the process. And I least of all thought about what viewers would see and think. Most of all I thought that we were losing in the show. I still don«t understand why that particular choice was made. They [the creators of the project] could have left my reaction in the edit for hate, for discussion. But give us a rematch. And then he [the Tyumen native] would have punished me again. Imagine, it»s a double cringe. But they saved on the duel because the producers really needed the flagging commoners to surge ahead», Serega said.
He emphasized that in this situation he does not condemn Prokhorov himself, but rather the show«s producers.
«I understand why Igor acted that way. He is a person who encountered filming for the first time. He doesn«t even have that internal mindset to argue with producers», the rapper added.
Earlier, Igor Prokhorov reported that his participation in the project was kept secret. Acquaintances thought he had left for several months to improve his coaching qualifications.
«Survive in Istanbul» is the fifth season of the extreme reality show on TNT. Participants are divided into two teams — ordinary people and celebrities — who undergo difficult challenges in extreme conditions. The winner receives a cash prize.
