On January 31, a festival of winter sports and active recreation called «Winter Fun» will be held in Saratov. The event will start at 10:00 at Spartak Stadium, according to the city administration.
Festival guests can expect a diverse program combining traditional Russian entertainments and modern sports activities. For example, Saratov residents will be able to play games and participate in a folk-style flash mob, and try their hand at gorodki, a traditional Russian skittle game.
Participants can also look forward to «snow battles». The city hall does not explain what this is. In addition, there will be snow drawing, family relay races, and a masterclass in speed skating and figure skating.
«This is a great chance to spend time with family, get into the holiday spirit, and try winter sports — it will be fun and dynamic!» the city hall announcement notes.
