Lerchek Asks for Jewelry Return and Fears Giving Birth in Courtroom
The investigation around blogger Valeria Chekalina and her ex-husband Artyom Chekalin continues: they are accused of illegally transferring over 250 million rubles (about $2.8 million at current rates) out of Russia. This week, another hearing took place in Moscow«s Gagarin Court.
During the hearing, Lerchek asked the court to return her jewelry due to money problems. According to the mother of many children, due to house arrest, she cannot work and therefore lacks funds for her large family.
«I wanted to ask for the jewelry back to sell and provide for the children. But it was denied,» Chekalina said in a conversation with MSK1.RU.
The court decided that the confiscated jewelry is considered material evidence, so it cannot be returned for now.
On 4 October 2024, Valeria and Artyom Chekalin and their business partner Roman Vishnyakov were placed under house arrest. All three are accused of illegally transferring over 250 million rubles (about $2.8 million at current rates) out of Russia (clauses «a» and «b» of part 3 of article 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
This is already the third criminal case: the other two were subsequently discontinued. The first criminal case against Lerchek was initiated in March 2023: she and Artyom Chekalin were accused of tax evasion. The second criminal case was initiated under the article on money laundering on an especially large scale.
Despite the refusal to return the jewelry, the brunette was satisfied with the past hearing. The next one is scheduled for 9 February.
«The witnesses were from the prosecution, but both said that there was no operation for currency control, that is, essentially, there was no violation of the law, which we are now accused of with my ex-husband. The next hearing is in two weeks, the main thing is not to give birth in the courtroom,» shared Lerchek.
Dzhigan Wants to Declare Marriage Contract with Samoilova Invalid
For more than three months, legal disputes have been ongoing between rapper Dzhigan (Denis Ustimenko) and blogger Oksana Samoilova. It«s all because the brunette decided to divorce the singer.
The couple was given time for reconciliation, but Samoilova was adamant and ready to finally dissolve the marriage with the rapper. This was reported by her representative Oleg Tonakanyan.
«Ready to finally dissolve? Yes. They had two months. According to my information, nothing changed during this time,» the representative said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
In response, Dzhigan decided to file a lawsuit to declare the marriage contract with the brunette invalid. According to the artist«s lawyer Sergey Zhorin, the document was signed in 2020 when the musician was in a vulnerable position after hospitalization and was undergoing treatment.
«We believe that the totality of circumstances under which the said contract was signed, including health condition, influence of close ones, and pressure of the situation, may indicate a violation of the balance of interests. The validity of documents signed during treatment and in a vulnerable position raises many questions. We consider that these actions require careful legal assessment and cannot be viewed as a standard divorce story,» stated Sergey Zhorin in a conversation with Starhit.ru.
Samoilova informed journalists about the existence of the marriage contract and its conditions at the end of last year. According to the contract, property acquired by her before 2020 remains in her ownership, and what was acquired after is subject to division. However, according to her, Dzhigan after 2020 «acquired nothing.» Yet she allowed for the possibility of transferring part of the property to him.
Nevertheless, the rapper«s entourage describes this situation differently. His close ones say that Dzhigan was released early from a rehabilitation center and under the threat of divorce was forced to sign an agreement to transfer all property to his wife.

At that time, Durov stated that TikTok«s algorithms serve as a tool that »fills the brain with annoying sludge of irrelevant content,« which, in his opinion, reduces users» productivity. Since the registration of the Telegram founder on TikTok, almost 19 thousand people have subscribed to the account. The businessman posted the link to the social network account on his other platforms.
Durov himself is subscribed to only one user—popular American YouTuber Adam Wahid. It is not yet clear what content the entrepreneur will post on TikTok.

While the businessman explores other platforms, his former lover is trying to attract his attention. Irina Bolgar published a new archival video with Durov and accused him of blackmail.
