Parody duo Sorokin and Myatnaya Lilu release new sketch about Samoilova and Jigan

Parody bloggers Nikita Sorokin and Maria Uryupina (Myatnaya Lilu), who rose to fame as «doubles» of singer Shaman and the head of the Safe Internet League (Liga Bezopasnogo Interneta, LBI) Ekaterina Mizulina, have changed their target for humor. Their new work is dedicated to rapper Jigan and his wife Oksana Samoilova.
The plot of the parody sketch is built around the celebrities« loud divorce story. The authors, in their characteristic manner, play up the couple»s recognizable manners, images, and public statements. The bloggers have posted excerpts of the parody music video online.
Sorokin and Myatnaya Lilu gained viral fame with their impersonations of Shaman and Ekaterina Mizulina, which they even presented at the musician«s concerts. The star couple appreciated the humor.
Later, their repertoire expanded to include parodies of other celebrities, including Prokhor Shalyapin and Larisa Dolina, with Anastasia Volochkova being the very first. The duo«s style is based on hyperbolizing the most noticeable features of the stars» appearance and behavior, allowing them to create satirical and instantly recognizable sketches on topical news events.
