Orenburg's 'Evening on Skates' postponed to January 30 due to cold

Orenburg city hall has postponed the 'Evening on Skates' festival to January 30 because of extreme cold, which is forecast to reach -27°C (-17°F), and has also changed the event's start time.

The Orenburg Mayor«s Office has announced the postponement of the city»s «Evening on Skates» festival, which was scheduled for January 25. Due to abnormal cold that prevents mass outdoor sporting events (forecasters predict -27°C (-17°F) on Sunday), the «Evening on Skates» has been moved to January 30. It will start at 18:00 at all three venues.

The central location will be the city«s largest ice rink — the Orenburg Stadium, located at Novaya Street, 17/1. Guests can expect demonstration performances by athletes, a concert, themed photo zones, and a spot selling hot drinks and snacks.

The event is also planned in Tsvilling Park at Kulturnaya Street, 1a, and in Yuzhny Park on Ilekskaya Street.

Admission to all venues is free, the Orenburg administration clarified.

UPDATE:

The Orenburg administration reported that the start time of the event in Tsvilling Park has been changed again. This time from 18:00 to 15:00.
