Omsk residents to receive 2,000 free pancakes

This year, Maslenitsa will be celebrated at Winter Lyubinsky. The public festivities are scheduled for February 22. Ivan Kolesnik, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Oblast Government, announced this on his Telegram channel. The official added that there will be a tea party, and they will prepare and distribute 2,000 portions of pancakes.
«On the final day of Maslenitsa festivities — February 22 — a large Chaldon tea party will take place here. We plan to set tea and pancake records: preparing and distributing 10,000 portions of «Chaldon» tea and 2,026 Chaldon «heart» pancakes with topping. Guests will be able to taste these delicious treats for free,» Kolesnik said.
Earlier, NGS55.RU reported that a 15-meter (49-foot) Maslenitsa effigy will be installed in Omsk«s Zelyony Ostrov (Green Island) park. Residents are promised contests and giveaways, circle dances, and traditional amusements. Pancakes will also be available.
